Google just launched new Samsung phones that use AI to handle boring chores like ordering food or booking tickets. You can also use a new tool called Gemini Notebook to help you research projects and turn your notes into quizzes or videos. Plus, they’re bringing AI to smartwatches and glasses so you can get help without even touching your phone. These updates are all about making your tech work harder for you.
Today at Galaxy Unpacked in London, we celebrated the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8, and Flip8. With these devices, we are making it easier than ever to get started on Android while also rolling out the first capabilities of Gemini Intelligence 1 — our vision for technology that works proactively for you. Whether you choose to unfold your phone to maximize your productivity on a bigger screen or keep it folded so you can focus on your day, Gemini Intelligence is there to help with the heavy lifting.
Here is a look at three updates coming to the newest devices.
1. Get next-generation task automation with Gemini Intelligence.
Gemini Intelligence can help you offload digital chores so you can spend less time behind a screen. Back in February, we introduced a beta for task automation, helping you delegate simple everyday tasks to Gemini, such as ordering a rideshare or getting your favorite takeout meal for delivery.
Now task automation is expanding support from a handful of apps to more than 40 popular apps. 2 This means Gemini can now help you handle more of your daily "life admin" — from shopping and making dinner reservations to booking travel experiences and buying event tickets. On the Galaxy Z Flip8, you can even access this assistance directly from the Flex Window by long pressing the power button.
Plus, Gemini can now use advanced reasoning to understand what is on your screen and parse complex images as prompts. This gives you a powerful jumpstart — because sometimes, the easiest way to explain what you need is to show Gemini a shopping list or inspiration photo.
While Gemini works to complete the task, you can track the step-by-step progress on your screen, multitask in other apps, or close your phone and let Gemini run in the background. If you need to make a quick adjustment or add a personal touch, you can step in to handle a specific detail and then hand control back to Gemini to complete the rest. Gemini is designed to notify you when the task is ready for your review and final confirmation.
2. Raise the bar on your projects with Gemini Notebook.
To help you manage deep projects and synthesize complex information, we are bringing the power of Gemini Notebook (formerly NotebookLM) directly to your device. The app comes preinstalled on Samsung's new foldables. 3
Gemini Notebook is your thinking and research partner powered by our advanced multimodal models. On the Galaxy Z Fold8 series' expansive display, you can drag and drop photos, documents, whiteboard images, voice recordings, and more directly into a side-by-side workspace.
You can use the chat function in Gemini Notebook to ask questions about your sources or go one step further and create custom, high-quality resources — including slide decks, videos, flash cards, quizzes, or even a podcast — tailored to how you learn best.
To help you tackle your most ambitious projects, we are including a six-month trial of Google AI Pro on every Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8, and Flip8, which gives you more access to powerful features, such as Audio Overviews, Video Overviews, Slides, and more.
3. Take Gemini on the go with watches and glasses.
Our collaboration with Samsung extends beyond smartphones. On the Galaxy Watch 9, you have more convenient access to Gemini on the go. Simply raise your wrist and Gemini will activate so you can ask it questions, no wake word required.
We’re also bringing Gemini to glasses. At Google I/O 2026, we announced intelligent eyewear — created in partnership with Samsung and launching this fall — and shared two designs from our partners, eyewear brands Gentle Monster and Warby Parker. Today we revealed two more frames and shared more about how Gemini’s helpfulness will come to life on these new devices. For example if you’re wearing a compatible Wear OS watch, you’ll be able to control your glasses with just a hand gesture.
Whether you are looking to simplify your daily routine or boost your productivity, today's announcements are just the beginning of what we have in store. We will roll out more intelligent features as they are ready, so you’re not left waiting.

Pontos-chave
